Schaufenster is an onsite and online series simultaneously presenting video works in the two permanently accessible spaces of Kunstverein München—the window display at the Hofgarten and the website. The series initially ran from September 2019 through January 2022 with a thematic focus on political self-organization and (alternative) educational models. It has resumed in January 2024 with a program presenting works that explore the conditions of artistic production and the gendered self.
Since its inauguration in 2019, the series has presented, in chronological order, video works by Patricia L. Boyd, Andrea Büttner, Vanalyne Green, Anja Kirschner & David Panos, Emanuel Almborg, Maria Vedder, Petra Bauer and SCOT-PEP, Julie Becker, Carolyn Lazard, Jenna Bliss, Julika Rudelius, Sky Hopinka, Martin Beck, Charlotte Moth, Bambitchell (Sharlene Bamboat & Alexis Mitchell), McIntyre Parker, Sadie Benning, Tiphanie Kim Mall, Patty Chang, Nicole-Antonia Spagnola, Michael Turner, Matt Wolf, Birgit Jürgenssen, and Joyce Joumaa.
