Between is a series curated by Gloria Hasnay, departing from music-based practices and taking place in the Kunstverein München’s galleries between two exhibitions for the duration of 24 hours. The series’ forth and last edition focuses on the artist and musician Bruce Gilbert and is programmed by invited guests Stanislav Iordanov and Moritz Nebenführ. In addition to a concert and conversation, the event will screen a selection of Gilbert’s musical works for ballet and film. Live sets by AJ Pain and Vera as well as a new performance work by Nikhil Vettukattil extend the scope.
While many musicians follow a certain trajectory after the first few records, Gilbert’s recent releases and live sets continue to open up new terrain. On Friday evening, he will join us at Kunstverein München for a very special performance of a new piece titled The Secret of Futility, which lends its name to the event
Between IV: The Secret of Futility took place from November 18, 2022, 6pm until November 19, 2022, 6pm.
